One of India’s largest airlines, Air India, announced a considerable revamp to its international route network starting in 2025. As part of the Air India enhancements, the airline will deploy its finest aircraft to significant gateways in Southeast Asia and Europe, accompanied by its flagship A350 and B777 with upgraded cabin interiors on several U.S. and UK routes.

Air India’s New Aircraft Features and Premium Cabin Upgrades

January 16, 2025, marks the beginning of Air India’s upgraded products, with retrofitted A320neo operations on all flights between Delhi and Bangkok. The retrofitted aircraft boasts refreshed interiors in Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class. 

 

Additionally, Vista Stream, Air India’s complimentary wireless inflight entertainment (IFE) streaming service, is readily accessible to travelers on these aircraft.

 

“These upgrades signify our dedication to providing an exceptional travel experience by optimizing flight schedules and offering greater flexibility to our travelers,” an Air India representative stated. “We are consistently working to enable seamless intercontinental travel between North America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia via our hubs in Delhi and Mumbai.”


In another move to augment the travel experience, Air India’s new routes will include a fourth daily Delhi-Bangkok service from January 1, 2025. The increased frequency provides seamless connectivity from Bangkok to several destinations in North America and Europe via Air India’s hub in Delhi.

The airline also announced the deployment of the Vistara A321neo and B787-9 aircraft on various routes, including Delhi-Frankfurt, Mumbai-Frankfurt, and Delhi-Singapore. 

 

Starting February 1, 2025, Air India will optimize the schedule of several routes, including the Delhi-Frankfurt, Delhi-Paris, Delhi-Sydney, and Delhi-Melbourne flights. “The new flight times will offer both daytime and nighttime departures, offering greater flexibility to our passengers,” the Air India representative added.

 

Flights will feature Air India’s premium services, including the latest-generation cabin interiors, fully flat beds in Business Class, and consistent availability of Premium Economy on these routes.
